Privacy

This notice covers the Public Holidays by Bjorn chat integration and these support pages, operated by Bjorn. It does not describe the separate website account and notification features.

Information the integration receives

Your chat provider sends the tool arguments needed for a lookup: country or location codes, the number of days ahead, and a timezone. Protocol requests may also contain the chat client's name and version. The integration does not request your full conversation, precise location, account credentials, or calendar contents.

How information is used

We use lookup arguments to retrieve and filter public holiday data. We use operational logs to diagnose failures and maintain the service. Application tool logs record the tool name, outcome, and duration, not tool arguments, results, or conversation content. Hosting and HTTP request logs may include IP addresses, user agents, request paths, request identifiers, timestamps, and response status.

Service providers and data sources

The service runs on Google Cloud Run and Firebase Hosting; operational logging uses Google Cloud Logging. Holiday sources include Nager.Date, Google Calendar public holiday feeds, and Barcelona City Council. Depending on the source, requests contain a country code and year or access a location's public calendar feed. We do not send your chat conversation to those sources. Your chat provider receives tool results and handles your conversation under its own privacy policy.

Retention

Lookup arguments and results are processed in memory and are not saved as a chat history or user profile. Operational logs are retained for 30 days. Support correspondence is kept while resolving your request and for up to 90 days afterward, unless a longer period is required by law.

Your choices

You can stop using or disconnect the integration in your chat provider's settings. Contact public-holiday-support@bjorn.co.za to ask about your information or request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold. Provide only the details needed to identify your request. We cannot delete conversations or records held independently by your chat provider.

These pages

These support pages use no account sign-in, advertising, or analytics scripts. The hosting service still processes ordinary web request metadata to deliver them.
